After releasing her debut, summer, pop rock single “Wait with the Sun” in February last year, Ash Acid has continued to write and record like a maniac. The burning second single, "All the Way from Melbourne" due for release on March 11th, is about not stepping on the cracks in the concrete in Newtown, Sydney. It is a recount of wanting to go anywhere that is not another Melbourne lockdown. The track is a tale of straight-up Melbourne desire and Sydney fun. A yearning story of having love and wanting more and being on the crumbling edge of reality and dreams. "All the Way from Melbourne" was somehow conceived in both Melbourne and Sydney with slight recklessness and a lot of intent. Though currently working on an EP, Ash Acid has her sights set on being prolific. Her passion for the written word and performing unable to be contained. Ash is excited about the future, using the challenges of the past year to fuel her songwriting. A strong figure in the Australian music industry with already a past international tour, international supports (Stray Cats, Reverend Horton Heat, Street Dogs and The Sisters of Mercy) and regular tours of Sydney and Adelaide, Ash is itching to achieve these heights again, this time as a lead singer. Using disappointing relationships, farm life, family life and social injustice as a solid foundation for her songwriting, Ash Acid is like none who have ever come before. With painful honesty and raw emotion, her voice and her live show will get to you, whether you are willing or not.
